How big should my catchment area be?

In general, and in order to provide the best cat sitting service we would advise that a maximum covered area should be no more than 8 miles. However, if you have a car and live in a more rural area please contact us and we'll extend it for you.

When setting your catchment area please consider it carefully and realistically.

How far would you be happy to travel (usually twice a day) to do a cat sitting job?

How much travel time would you feel comfortable with?

The bigger you make your covered area the more often your profile will come up as a search result, however you will get some requests that are just too far away. This will result in wasting yours and the cat owner's time.

  • If you have a car and/or live outside of a city, a bigger covered area would make sense. We encourage you to negotiate extra gas money on top of the fees which you can add once you are booked.
  • If you don't have much time to spend on travel, please select a smaller covered area to avoid disappointment.
  • If you work in a different area to your home, you could consider cat sitting in both locations, simply have both ZIP codes on your profile page to appear in the different search results.
